Swimming pools in Shanghai come in all shapes and sizes. Some are Olympic size and others are just big enough for a few people to splash around in. There are indoor pools and outdoor pools, public pools, and private pools. Some pools are heated and some are not.
The Shanghai Sports and Leisure Center has an Olympic-sized pool, and there are also several large pools at the Century Park complex. If we’re looking for a more intimate setting, try one of the many smaller neighborhood pools. Keep in mind that most of these facilities are not open year-round – be sure to check their schedules before heading out.

Admission is ¥50 for adults and ¥30 for children.

Pool managers have been amazed by Jinhui’s speed and stamina, as he often breaks the record for the 100-meter freestyle race. His latest record was set at the Yuanshen Sports Centre pool in Shanghai, where he completed the race in just 58.78 seconds – shaving more than a second off the previous record.
Jinhui began swimming at the age of six and has since competed in numerous national and international competitions. He is currently training for next year’s Olympic Games in Tokyo.

This year, the much-anticipated water park opened in Shanghai. Many people were excited about the opening, as it was said to be one of the largest and most exciting water parks in Asia.
